These itineraries are given for information purposes only, they can be modified according to your expectations and the weather conditions. However, if the winds are above force 7, we will postpone the outing.
We will start our trip at the port of Ermoupolis, capital of the island, or Finikas, a charming little fishing and marina port located in the southwest of the island.
From Ermoupolis
Our first stop will be at the foot of the Syros lighthouse, Didymi island (twin beach), from where you can admire the view of the town of Ermoupolis. It’s a wild anchorage for your first swim.
Then we will sail to the south of the island, past the bays of Azolimno, Vari and Abella. After having rounded Cape Viglostati, we will go up the west coast to admire the pretty beaches of Komito and Agathopes. You can also discover the hidden chapel of Agios Stefanos, near Galissa. We will offer several swims in front of the wild beaches of Delfini and Grammata... Then return to Ermoupolis via the north of the island at the end of the afternoon.
From Finikas
Our first stop will be at Agios Stefanos, to discover a small chapel in a cave on the water's edge. You can admire the beauty of nature and recharge your batteries in this peaceful place.
We will continue our journey to Delfini, a wild beach, to swim in clear waters and enjoy the softness of the sun. Our third stopover will take us to Aetos, a small deserted bay which marks the beginning of the great wild north. Then we will head to Grammata, you will be amazed by the natural beauty of this place, where time seems to stand still. Then return to Finikas at the end of the afternoon.
To fully enjoy your day, plan to take with you what you need to protect yourself from the sun's rays; on a sailboat the reverberation is important (with the wind you don't always feel the intensity of the sun).
Remember to bring your swimsuit, a towel, sunglasses and sunscreen and for the most sensitive, a light long-sleeved shirt (better safe than sorry). It is also recommended to bring a hat, a cap to protect yourself, with a good fit, (incidents of flying off happen quickly).
Be careful, at the end of the day the temperatures can be cool at sea, so bring woollens too. We have jackets on board that will protect you from the sea spray.
You will find everything you need to discover the seabed (masks, fins and snorkel) and also a paddle.
You can also bring your snack for the cruise. But if you wish, we can organize various à la carte services, according to your convenience.
Before your cruise, the skipper will contact you to tell you how the day will go. On boarding, he will inform you about safety and how to behave on board the sailboat.
We are available to answer any questions you may have about the program and the progress of the day.
